Our Story
What is it that makes Africanism Collection special ?
My name is Dora and I am from Greece.
Africanism Collection was born through my Travels while Volunteering in Eastern Africa and Asia.

I have been inspired by the spirit lifting Colors and Crafts of people that we have met and lived with in our travels and work through our NGO Wheeing2Help with my husband and Partner, Elpidoforos.
​
Africa was the place that felt like Home to me and has treated us with Kindness and Love.

Africanism transmits this feeling by sharing unique articrafts, clothing and accessories handmade with passion by local artisans and small businesses of Tanzania.
Also, Africanism is a platform for me to express my own creativity with crafts inspired by the mix of cultures that we are experiencing in our second homes in Africa and the World.

We are happy that we collaborate with the Women Association of Gongo Mamas, the Saving Africa's Nature NGO and also many other groups and individuals who share their love for what they do .
Through our business they can be independent and feel their self esteem grow just like all of us who want to do more in our lives for ourselves and our family.
